OCNA hosts more than 400 community newspaper representatives at our
Spring Convention each March/April. Members attend the weekend event to
take advantage of a variety of training sessions offered for each
department within a newspaper; network with their peers; participate in
the industry Trade Show; congratulate Ontario's Junior Citizens of the
Year; and recognize the outstanding achievements of Ontario's community
newspapers at the Better Newspapers Awards. For convention details,

OCNA Annual Trade Show
OCNA's Annual Trade Show is held in conjunction with the Spring
Convention. Companies doing business with the community newspaper
industry are invited to participate in forming new relationships or
building on existing ones with the newspapers.
Delegates receive full details about all the Trade Show exhibitors so
they know which companies will be at the events and can plan who from
their newspaper should visit with each exhibitor.
During the year, OCNA provides educational opportunities for members.
Courses include hands-on computer training, sale and marketing.

used: classroom (in locations across the province), web training,
tele-training and distance learning are included. In addition to
scheduled sessions, on request OCNA organize specific, cost-effective
training for individual newspapers/groups.
