In less than one week, celebrations will begin for National Newspaper Week (NNW), taking place from Sunday October 6 to Saturday October 12.
News Media Canada has once again developed a national ad campaign and is providing ad material to newspapers across the country to collectively send a strong message that Newspapers Matter: Now More Than Ever!
Last year roughly 400 community and daily newspapers across the country ran the national ad campaign in print and digital format. The program was supported by a social media influencer campaign, nationally and locally, that generated nearly 400 social media posts with 13 million national reach over the course of the week! News Media Canada will be spearheading this national influencer campaign once again for NNW 2019, and is seeking help from publishers to reach out to notable Canadians in their own markets and ask them to post a photo with their newspaper along with the hashtag #NewspapersMatter.
